Prep Time: 15 mins | Total Time: 30 mins | Yield: 4 Servings

The best and easiest Tuna Melt recipe you will ever have! I have been making this amazing sandwich since I was in college! Feel free to add more ingredients if you wish. Have a wonderful day, friends. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1/3 cup mayonnaise
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
2 (6-ounces) cans tuna
1 ribs celery, finely chopped
2 dill pickles, finely chopped
1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
8 slices bread, such as sourdough
2 tablespoons butter
1 tomato, sliced
8 slices cheddar

Directions:

Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.

Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, add in the mayonnaise, red pepper flakes, and lemon juice. Whisk until well combined.

Step 3: Drain the tuna and put the meat into the bowl with the mayonnaise mixture. Make sure to break the tuna meat into flakes using a fork.

Step 4: Add in the pickles, red onion, parsley, and celery. Toss until well mixed.

Step 5: Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.

Step 6: Brush one side of sliced bread with butter.

Step 7: Spread ½ cup of tuna salad, 2 tomato slices, and 2 cheese slices over the unbuttered side of the bread.

Step 8: Repeat step 7 to the rest of the ingredients.

Step 9: Place the tuna sandwiches on a baking sheet.

Step 10: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 5 to 8 minutes or until the cheese has melted completely.

Step 11: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool for at least 2 minutes.

Step 12: Serve and enjoy!
