How to make Best Stuffing Balls
Step 1: Unwrap the loaves of bread and let the bread get stale for a day.
Step 2: After the bread gets stale, tear them into 1 1/2-inch piece and include the crusts.
Step 3: In a bowl, beat the eggs with milk and water. Then, drizzle the mixture over the torn bread and mix until just moistened.
Step 4: In a skillet, saute in butter the celery, onions, and green pepper until transparent. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 5: Add in the celery and butter mixture into the bread. Then, the parsley and sprinkle with a bit of rubbed sage.
Step 6: Now, lightly coat the mixture with poultry seasoning.
Step 7: Use your hands to toss and push the stuffing gently into the corner of the mixing pan. Allowing it to sit for at least 30 minutes for the bread to absorb all the liquid.
Step 8: Once the stuffing is set, form it into small balls like that of a baseball.
Step 9: Arrange the balls on a baking sheet and flash freeze them.
Step 10: Once the balls are frozen, transfer them in bread bah wrappers.
Step 11: Place the balls in a 9 x 13-inch pan when ready to bake. In the same pan, make sure to have at least 1/4-inch hot broth at the bottom.
Step 12: These balls can be baked frozen or defrosted. Just adjust the baking time accordingly.
Step 13: Place them in the oven and bake at 350 degrees F for approximately 30 minutes. Baste a few times until they are browned.
