This incredible recipe for Pudding is one of the best I have ever tried! Give it a try now. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
6 cups stale white or wheat bread cut or torn into small pieces ( I use a mix of both)
3 cups any kind of apple peeled and diced small
5 whole eggs, beaten
3 cups half and half
1 cup Splenda brown sugar blend
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 teaspoons apple pie spice
1 stick butter, cold
1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk
1 bag Kraft caramels, unwrapped
Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray on a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Step 3: Add the apple pieces and bread cubes in a large mixing bowl. Toss until well combined.
Step 4: Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Step 5: In the same bowl with the transferred apple mixture, add the rest of the ingredients aside from the butter. Whisk until well mixed.
Step 6: Transfer the mixture over the apple mixture and spread it evenly on top.
Step 7: Let the mixture rest for 15 minutes to overnight.
Step 8: In a microwavable dish, add the condensed milk and 1/2 of the caramels. Place it inside the microwave and heat it for about 1 minute to 3 minutes or until the caramels are melted completely. Repeat this process until all the caramels in the bag are blended.
Step 9: Press the butter on top of the bread and drizzle 1/2 of the caramel mixture on top.
Step 10: Bake inside the preheated oven for 50 minutes or until done.
Step 11: Remove the baking dish from the oven and let it sit at room temperature to cool for at least 5 minutes.
Step 12: Place the caramel inside the microwave and heat for 18 seconds just to warm it up.
Step 13: Drizzle over the Bread pudding.
Step 14: Serve and enjoy!
Note:
This is best served with vanilla ice cream.
