If you are looking for a quick dish to serve that your kids are going to love, then, you have got to give this one a try! A very easy recipe that I know you can pull off! Oh, man, I’m telling you, your kids are going to love it! Well, my kids could not get enough of these heavenly treats! Serve these bad boys with ketchup and mustard and you have yourself a meal to remember! Feel free to tweak the recipe a little if you want. Have a great day, friends. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
8 slices American cheese, sliced
8 hot dogs
8 wooden skewers
2 cups flour (250 g)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp baking powder
1 ½ c milk (360 mL)
2 Eggs
oil, for frying
ketchup, to serve
mustard, to serve
Directions:
Step 1: Put 1 hot dog in the centre of each cheese slice.
Step 2: Roll the cheese and insert a skewer on the bottom of each hot dog.
Step 3: Arrange them on a baking sheet.
Step 4: Place the baking sheet inside the freezer for about 20 minutes.
Step 5: Add the flour, baking powder, eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
Step 6: Transfer the batter into a tall cup.
Step 7: Place a pot on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 8: Add oil and allow it to become hot.
Step 9: Dip each of the frozen hot dogs into the batter.
Step 10: Add the coated hot dogs into the pot with hot oil and cook until golden brown.
Step 11: Place the hot dogs on a clean plate lined with paper towels.
Step 12: Serve hot and enjoy!
Note:
These hot dogs are best served with mustard and ketchup!
