Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes

Prep Time: 15 mins | Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins | Total Time: 1 hr 45 mins | Yield: 8 Servings

Cheesy and creamy potatoes that will make your day extra special! Give it a try and I am 100 per cent sure that it will become your favourite!

Ingredients:

4 russet potatoes, sliced into 1/4 inch slices
1 onion, sliced into rings
salt and pepper to taste
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 c milk
1 1/2 c shredded Cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.

Step 2: Brush an 8×8-inch casserole dish with melted butter.

Step 3: Place the potatoes and onions into the prepared baking dish and arrange them with the potatoes on the bottom and onions on top.

Step 4: Sprinkle salt and pepper to season the veggies.

Step 5: Place a medium saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.

Step 6: Add in the butter and allow it to melt.

Step 7: Add in the flour and salt. Whisk for a minute until well mixed.

Step 8: Add in the milk and stir until the texture becomes thick.

Step 9: Toss in all the cheese and stir for a minute or until melted completely.

Step 10: Pour the mixture on top of the potatoes and cover it with foil.

Step 11: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 1 ½ hour or until done.

Step 12: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.

Step 13: Serve and enjoy!
