A decadent dessert that is not only taste heaven but is a real beauty. Perfect for an afternoon girl talk, or dinner date dessert at home.
1 cup butter
2 cups white sugar
⅔ cup of cocoa powder
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup gluten-free all-purpose baking flour
½ teaspoon gluten-free baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 (8 ounces) package cream cheese, softened
⅓ cup white sugar
1 (21 ounces) can cherry pie filling
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 350 degrees F or 175 degrees C.
Step 2: Apply cooking oil in a 9×13-inch baking pan.
Step 3: Place the butter in a microwave-safe bowl and put it inside the microwave. Heat for 1 minute or until completely melted.
Step 4: Remove the melted butter from the microwave. Add sugar and cocoa powder. Stir until well combined.
Step 5: Add the eggs gradually and beat every addition using an electric mixer.
Step 6: Add the vanilla extract and stir until well blended.
Step 7: In a small mixing bowl, add the flour, baking powder, and salt. Whisk until well mixed, then transfer the mixture into the batter.
Step 8: Transfer the batter into the greased baking pan and spread it evenly using a spatula.
Step 9: In a small mixing bowl, add the egg, cream cheese, and sugar. Whisk until creamy.
Step 10: Drop dollops of the mixture and cherries on top of the batter.
Step 11: Place the pan inside the preheated oven and bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until done.
Step 12: Remove from the oven and let it sit at room temperature to cool.
Step 13: Slice into small bars.
Step 14: Serve and enjoy!
1. You can use regular flour if you do not have gluten-free flour.
2. You can adjust the baking time if needed.
