Oh, man, this recipe is a must-try! A bowl of this dish will surely make you very satisfied! Feel free to add more ingredients. For a spicy version, just simply add chilli powder. Try it and thank me later! Have a wonderful day, friends!
Ingredients:
4 chicken parts or 2 boneless chicken breasts cut into pieces. drumsticks or thighs or a combination
1 green pepper seed removed and cut into slices
1 red pepper seed removed and cut into slices
1 medium-size onion cut into slices
1 heaping tbsp minced garlic jarred
3/4 c chicken broth
1/2 c mayonnaise
1/2 box penne pasta
salt and pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter
Directions:
1. Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
2. Add 1 tbsp of butter and oil, then allow them to melt and become hot.
3. Season the chicken slices with salt and pepper.
4. Add the chicken slices into the skillet and cook until all sides turn brown.
5. Remove the chicken slices from the skillet onto a baking dish.
6. Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
7. Place the chicken slices inside the preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and cover it with foil to keep them warm.
8. Add the green and red bell pepper into the same skillet. Saute until soft.
9. Add the onion and garlic, then saute until translucent and aromatic.
10. Remove from the heat.
11. Refer to the directions provided on the package of the pasta on how to cook it. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process.
12. Put the chicken slices back to the skillet with the veggies.
13. Add the cooked pasta as well into the skillet.
14. In a mixing bowl, add mayonnaise and chicken broth. Stir until well mixed.
15. Pour the mixture into the skillet. Turn the heat to medium and simmer for a few minutes until the texture of the sauce becomes thick.
16. Remove from the heat.
17. Serve hot and enjoy!
Note:
Feel free to use broccoli instead of chicken. It tastes amazing as well!
