Ingredients
½ c. flour(60 grams)
6 tbsp butter
1 rotisserie chicken, shredded
1 onion, chopped
3 c. chicken broth(720 ml)
1 c. heavy cream(240 ml)
2 ½ c. frozen mixed vegetable(455 grams)
2 tubes biscuit dough, 8 biscuits each
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
How to make Chicken & Biscuits Bake
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F or 180 degrees C.
Step 2: Melt the butter in a large pot over medium-high heat. Once the butter has melted, add the onion. Cook for a minute, stirring until tender.
Step 3: Stir in the flour and continue to cook for another minute, stirring constantly to prevent the flour from browning.
Step 4: Next, pour in the chicken broth. To taste, season with salt and pepper. Stir well until the lumps are gone.
Step 5: Stir in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a light simmer until the sauce has slightly thickened.
Step 6: Then, add the mixed vegetables along with the shredded chicken. Stir well. Into a 9 x 13-inch or 23 x 33 cm baking dish, transfer the mixture. On top, evenly place 12 pieces of biscuit dough.
Step 7: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes or until the biscuits are golden and the gravy mixture is bubbling.
Step 8: Remove from the oven when done and allow the Chicken & Biscuits Bake to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
