All you need for this Classic Tuna Salad are these basic ingredients. They are not difficult to find, I’m pretty sure you already have them. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t try this wonderful recipe! This will be the best decision you will ever make today! I like serving this salad on toasted bread. Try it and you are in for a treat! It will only take 10 minutes to prepare this awesome salad. Enjoy the freshness of tuna mixed with sweet relish, lemon juice, and a lot more!
Ingredients:
18 oz. of tuna, drained well
1/2 c celery, minced
1/2 c mayonnaise
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp coarse ground black pepper
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp sweet relish
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, add sweet relish, lemon juice, mayonnaise, mustard, and pepper into a large mixing bowl. Stir until well blended.
2. Add the celery and tuna, then stir until well incorporated.
3. Place the bowl inside the fridge and allow the Classic Tuna Salad to chill for an hour.
4. Serve chilled and enjoy!
Notes:
You can serve this Classic Tuna Salad on toasted bread.
You can also serve it in a green salad.
Garnish this salad with chopped green onions, parsley, or fresh dill.
Remove the insides of the avocado and stuff it with the tuna salad. Simply the best!
You should not let the salad sit at room temperature for more than 2 hours. It will spoil right away because of the mayonnaise.
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then place them inside the fridge. They can last up to 3 days.
This salad is not good frozen. I suggest you just start from scratch and serve it fresh.
