If you love corn and looking for an easy side dish for your next potluck or cookout, I am sure you’ll love this corn-on-the-cob-in-the-oven recipe!
I love corn. It’s my go-to side dish for picnics, summer potlucks, and barbecues. Every bite is sweet and buttery. The combination of seasonings just burst inside your mouth! If you like a little heat, you can mix cayenne pepper in the butter and smear it on the corn.
Corn is super simple to make. And there are plenty of ways to cook it. Whichever way, you are guaranteed the best corn of your life! Top the corn with your favorite toppings such as smoked paprika, herbs, and even a citrus compound butter is amazing!
INGREDIENTS
8 tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
8 ears of corn on the cob, husks, and silk removed
1 tsp freshly ground black pepper, or adjust to taste
1 tsp kosher salt, or adjust to taste
How to make Corn on the Cob in the Oven
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees F.
Step 2: Using aluminum foil, line a baking sheet. On the baking sheet, place the ears of corn. Set aside about half of the butter and spread the rest of the butter on every side of the ears. Generously sprinkle the corn with salt and pepper.
Step 3: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 to 45 minutes, turning the corn often until it begins to brown.
Step 4: Take the corn out of the oven and evenly sprinkle the reserved butter over the ears of the corn and sprinkle with extra salt and pepper if desired.
Step 5: Serve immediately. Enjoy!
NOTE:
I love adding a dash of cayenne pepper. In a small dish, place 4 tbsp of butter and add your preferred amount of cayenne pepper. Mix well until blended, then smear this on the corn and proceed with the recipe.
