If you are looking for a new recipe to try tonight, then you should consider this Cowboy Casserole! With these very simple ingredients, dinner will be awesome again! Ready in less than an hour, this casserole is definitely a must-try!
Ingredients:
½ c bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 c cheddar cheese, shredded and divided
1/4 c sour cream
1/3 c whole milk
1 tsp onion powder
2/3 c Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 c corn
1/2 lb. ground beef, (85/15)
1/2 tsp black pepper
32 oz. tater tots
Directions:
1. Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.
2. Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
3. Add the ground beef, then cook until crumbly and brown.
4. Add 1/2 cup of cheese, corn, cream of mushroom soup, onion powder, sour cream, bacon, milk, and pepper. Stir until well blended.
5. Transfer the mixture to a 9×13-inch baking pan and spread it evenly.
6. Sprinkle cheese on top, followed by the tater tots.
7. Place the baking pan inside the preheated oven and bake for about 40 to 45 minutes or until done.
8. Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top and bake for 5 more minutes.
9. Remove from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
10. Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes:
Feel free to add veggies on top if you like.
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then place them inside the fridge. They can last up to 4 days or 3 months in the freezer.
When serving again, thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat in the morning.
This dish can last up to 2 hours at room temperature so make sure to eat it right away!
