These melt-in-your-mouth cream cheese cookies are super delicious and fluffy. Incredibly easy and quick to whip up using just a couple of simple ingredients. These delightfully flavored cream cheese cookies are a must with a nice tang from the cream cheese and a dash of vanilla.
I am obsessed with these cream cheese cookies! I love everything with cream cheese, and these cookies are a great treat! They are perfectly sweet with beautiful notes of vanilla and cream cheese.
INGREDIENTS
1 egg
1/2 c. (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 c. granulated sugar
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking powder
4 ounces of cream cheese, at room temperature
1 3/4 c. all-purpose flour
Powdered sugar, for dusting
1/2 tsp salt
How to make Cream Cheese Cookies
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees F. Using parchment paper, line a baking sheet.
Step 2: Place the butter and cream cheese in a large bowl. Using an electric mixer, cream the ingredients. Then, add the sugar and beat for about a minute. Next, add the egg along with the vanilla. Mix well until blended.
Step 3: Into the bowl, add the baking powder, flour, and salt, in three additions, mixing until incorporated.
Step 4: Tent the dough and chill for about an hour.
Step 5: Dust your hands with flour and roll the chilled dough into balls between 1 to 2 inches.
Step 6: On the prepared baking sheet, set out the balls about 2 inches apart. Using your fingers, gently flatten the dough balls.
Step 7: Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 9 to 11 minutes or until the bottom is golden, but the top of the cookies is still pale.
Step 8: Onto a wire rack, transfer the cookies to cool. Once cooled, dust the cream cheese cookies with sugar.
Step 9: Serve and enjoy!
