These heavenly treats are my kids’ favorite! This recipe is super easy to prepare. All you need are these simple ingredients. In just 25 minutes, you can have the best snacks to serve today. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2-3 tablespoons ice cold water (place ice and water in a small bowl them measure out when needed
1 teaspoon Kosher salt
4 tablespoons butter, room temp
8 ounces shredded Jarlsberg either from the minis or a wedge
A few dashes of black pepper
3/4 c flour
Directions:
Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
In the food processor, add kosher salt, butter, shredded Jarlsberg, black pepper, and flour. Pulse a few times until the mixture is crumbly.
Add about 1 tablespoon of cold water, then pulse again until well incorporated.
Add another tablespoon of cold water, then pulse until the texture of the mixture turns into crumbs. Add more water if needed.
Sprinkle flour onto a flat surface, then move the dough on it. Knead a few times until it forms into a ball.
Place the prepared dough onto a baking sheet. Place it in the fridge to chill for half an hour.
Remove the dough from the fridge, then slice it into small crackers with a pastry cutter.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Lay the crackers onto the prepared baking sheet and arrange them in a single layer.
Make a small hole into the center of each cracker. Season each with kosher salt.
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the crackers for about 11 to 15 minutes or until the sides turn golden brown.
Remove the crackers from the oven and allow them to rest for a few minutes at room temperature.
Serve and enjoy!
Note:
Place any leftovers in an airtight container.
