Chicken drenched in the delicious honey-garlic sauce! I know that you are salivating just by looking at the photo! All you need to do is to follow all these steps that I have provided and you are good to go!
4 large boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 c flour
4 teaspoons salt
4 teaspoons black pepper
3 tablespoons ground ginger
1 tablespoon freshly ground nutmeg
2 teaspoons ground thyme
2 teaspoons ground sage
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons paprika
8 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons olive oil
3-4 cloves minced garlic
1 c honey
1/4 c soy sauce, low sodium soy sauce is best
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
Canola oil for frying
Step 1: Divide the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap.
Step 2: Pound the chicken breasts into 1/2-inch thick with a meat mallet.
Step 3: You can also horizontally slice the chicken breasts into two.
Step 4: Sift the flour, ground ginger, nutmeg, thyme, sage paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper in a medium mixing bowl.
Step 5: In a small mixing bowl, add in the eggs and water. Whisk until well combined.
Step 6: Rub the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Step 7: Dip each chicken breast into the flour and spices.
Step 8: Dip the chicken breasts into the egg wash.
Step 9: Dip the chicken breasts again into the flour and spices.
Step 10: Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 11: Add in enough canola oil and allow it to become hot.
Step 12: Add in the chicken and cook until brown.
Step 13: Place the cooked chicken on a wire rack.
Step 14: Place a medium saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 15: Add in 2 tablespoons of olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Step 16: Add in the minced garlic and cook until brown.
Step 17: Add in the soy sauce, honey, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
Step 18: Simmer for 5 minutes and remove from the heat.
Step 19: Place the cooked chicken on a serving plate and pour the honey-garlic sauce on top.
Step 20: Serve and enjoy!
