This taco salad recipe with ground beef is super easy to whip up in just twenty minutes! This is so good with tons of flavor, not to mention a healthy salad that your whole family will love! This taco salad pairs well with just about anything, making this the perfect accompaniment to any meal!
If you love tacos and salad, you’ll get both worlds in this easy taco salad recipe! This is also great for meal prep. Simply brown the meat with taco seasoning and prep all your taco salad ingredients. In your meal prep containers, keep the salad untossed and store the cream, salsa, and beef separately. Heat the meat right before serving and toss it with the salad along with the sour cream, salsa, and freshly cut avocado. If you have any leftovers, they will stay good for up to 2 to 3 days in the fridge.
1 teaspoon Avocado oil (or any oil of your choice)
1 pound Ground beef
2 tablespoons Taco seasoning (store-bought or home-made)
1 1/3 c. Grape tomatoes (halved)
1/2 c. Green onions (chopped)
3/4 c. Cheddar cheese (shredded)
1 medium Avocado (cubed)
1/3 c. Sour cream
1/3 c. Salsa
8 ounces Romaine lettuce (chopped)
HOW TO MAKE AN EASY HEALTHY TACO SALAD WITH GROUND BEEF
Step 1: In a skillet, heat the oil over high heat. Once hot, add the ground beef and stir fry for about 7 to 10 minutes, breaking the meat up into pieces using a spatula until browned and the moisture has evaporated.
Step 2: Into the ground beef, add the taco seasoning, and stir well until blended. If desired, you can pour in 1/4 cup of water along with the seasoning and allow everything to slightly simmer.
Step 3: In the meantime, place the rest of the ingredients in a large bowl. Add this to the ground beef and stir well.
