1/4 c butter
1 c packed brown sugar
1 can (20 ounces) pineapple slices in juice, drained, juice reserved
1 jar (6 ounces) maraschino cherries without stems, drained
1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ Yellow Cake Mix
Vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
Step 1: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Add butter into a 13×9-inch baking pan, then place it inside the preheated oven. Allow the butter to melt.
Step 3: Sprinkle sugar on top of the melted butter.
Step 4: Add the slices of pineapple over the brown sugar layer.
Step 5: Top each slice of pineapple with cherry.
Step 6: Decorate the cake with the rest of the cherries by arranging them all over.
Step 7: Mix the pineapple juice with water to reach about 1 cup.
Step 8: Refer to the directions provided on the package of the cake batter on how to prepare it.
Step 9: Spread the batter on top of the cherries.
Ste 10: Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for 50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean after inserting it in the middle.
Step 11: Remove from the oven and invert the cake onto a serving plate.
Step 12: Allow the cake to cool for about 30 minutes.
Step 13: Serve and enjoy!
Place any leftovers inside the fridge.
