FOCACCIA

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook Time: 30 mins | Additional Time: 1 hr | Total Time: 1 hr 40 mins | Yield: 6 Servings

The rich garlic flavour of this Focaccia is superb! Serve this with any pasta dish and you have yourself a meal to remember! Have a great day, friends. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

2 tbsp olive oil, to drizzle onto the pan

Dough:

1 1/2 c warm water
3 tbsp olive oil
1 1/4 tsp salt
3 1/2 c all-purpose flour
1 tbsp instant yeast or active dry yeast

Toppings:

1 tsp sea salt flakes or kosher salt
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp chopped rosemary
1 tbsp chopped oregano

Directions:

Step 1: Apply cooking spray in a 9×13-inch pan.

Step 2: In a medium mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the dough. Beat for about 1 minute at high speed.

Step 3: Transfer the batter into the greased pan and cover it. Let it sit at room temperature for about 1 hour to rise.

Step 4: Prepare the oven and preheat to 190 degrees C or 375 degrees F.

Step 5: Use your index finger to pokes holes all over the dough.

Step 6: Drizzle the dough with olive oil and season it with minced garlic, oregano, rosemary, and salt.

Step 7: Place the dough inside the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 8: Let the cake sit inside the oven for 5 more minutes.

Step 9: Remove from the oven and allow it to cool on a wire rack to cool at room temperature.

Step 10: Serve and enjoy!
