This French Toast Recipe has always been a part of our family since I was little. My grandma taught me this recipe. Now, allow me to share it with you! This recipe is pretty easy with simple ingredients. I have listed all the steps so you just need to follow them, and you are good to go! I highly recommend serving this with maple syrup and your favorite cup of coffee for the best experience! For a complete meal, serve this with crispy bacon and scrambled eggs. Okay, enough with the long introduction. It is time to go to your kitchen and start prepping. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
Butter for frying
1 c milk
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
8 slices of bread
3 eggs
Directions:
In a mixing bowl, add vanilla, sugar, cinnamon, milk, and eggs. Whisk until well incorporated.
Put a frying pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium-low. Add 1 tsp of butter and allow it to melt.
Add 2 slices of bread to the egg-milk mixture. Allow them to soak for 30 seconds.
Add one soaked bread into the hot frying pan, then cook each side for about 5 minutes or until toasted.
Remove from the pan and transfer it onto a clean plate. Repeat the process with the rest of the bread slices.
Serve with maple syrup. Enjoy!
Notes:
You can use any type of bread you want.
Vanilla, cinnamon, and sugar are optional ingredients.
I suggest using stale bread for this recipe.
For a complete meal, serve this French toast with bacon, hot dogs, eggs, etc.
