These steaks and potatoes are such a delight! They are my most favourite food in the world! This dish is very simple. It does not need anything rather than the basic seasonings and butter. Give it a try and may you all have a blessed day. Enjoy!
2-4 petite steaks
salt and pepper to taste
garlic powder to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
2-4 pounds baby potatoes, diced
2-6 tablespoons salted butter, soft
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon dried Italian herb blend
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
Step 1: Ready the oven and preheat to 400 degrees F.
Step 2: In a small mixing bowl, add the garlic, butter, and dried herbs. Stir until well mixed then set aside.
Step 3: Season the steaks abundantly with garlic powder, salt, and pepper on both sides.
Step 4: Place a skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 5: Drizzle olive oil and allow it to heat through.
Step 6: Sear the steaks for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until the colour turns brown. Place the seared steaks on a clean plate then set aside.
Step 7: Add in the potatoes in the skillet. Sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper to taste.
Step 8: Cook for 3 to 5 minutes while frequently stirring until slightly brown.
Step 9: Move the potatoes on one side of the skillet. Place the seared steaks back into the skillet and place them on the other side.
Step 10: Bake inside the preheated oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the potatoes are soft and tender, and steaks are done to perfection.
Step 11: Remove from the oven and drop a dollop of garlic butter right away. Let the butter melt over the steaks and potatoes.
Step 12: Sprinkle parsley and thyme on top.
