Easy and quick – this goulash recipe is a foolproof Instant Pot Goulash recipe that cooks perfect every time. This is another delicious addition to your dinner rotation. Throw this together in less than thirty minutes and enjoy a filling, scrumptious meal that your family will surely enjoy!
This goulash is an amazing one-pot meal. It’s made with pasta, meat, and veggies. This goulash is already a complete meal by itself. But this also pairs well with chopped salad, veggies such as steamed broccoli or cauliflower, or garlic bread to scoop up all the deliciousness on the bottom.
Ingredients
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 pounds of ground beef
1 yellow onion, chopped
30 ounces tomato sauce
30 ounces of diced tomatoes, undrained
3 c. water or beef broth
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
16 ounces elbow macaroni
1/4 c. cheddar cheese, shredded, for topping
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
2 teaspoons seasoned salt
How to make Instant Pot Goulash
Step 1: To saute, set the Instant Pot. Then, add the ground beef along with the onion. Cook until the meat is browned. If needed, drain the excess grease.
Step 2: To the Instant Pot, add the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, seasoned salt, and elbow macaroni. Stir well.
Step 3: Put the lid on and set it to cook on high pressure for 4 minutes.
Step 4: Do a quick release once the cooking time is done and wait until the float valve drops. Take the lid off and serve the Goulash right away. If desired, top with shredded cheese. Enjoy!
Notes:
For extra flavor, add 2 bay leaves before cooking.
To the onion mixture, add a chopped bell pepper for extra texture and flavor. You are welcome to add red, yellow, orange, and/or green peppers if desired.
Try adding 1 tbsp soy sauce for another layer of flavor.
