INGREDIENTS
4 eggs, divided
1/2 c. (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
1 (15.25 ounces) box of spice cake mix
4 c. powdered sugar
1 (8 ounces) package cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp cinnamon
How to make Neiman Marcus Bars
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F. Using butter or non-stick spray, lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Step 2: Place 2 eggs, melted butter, and spice cake mix in a large bowl until you have a smooth batter. Into the prepared baking dish, pour the batter, and set aside.
Step 3: Place the cream cheese in another bowl. Beat well until smooth and fluffy. Then, add the rest of the eggs along with the powdered sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Continue beating for an additional 2 to 3 minutes or until well blended and smooth.
Step 4: Over the cake batter, pour the cream cheese mixture and gently spread it into an even layer, making sure to cover the entire cake.
Step 5: Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 to 40 minutes or until the edges are just a little browned and the middle of the bar is almost set, but still slightly jiggly.
Step 6: Remove the bar from the oven when done and allow it to cool before cutting. Enjoy!
