This pineapple dream dessert is the perfect no-bake dessert for summer! A vintage dessert that everyone will surely ask for over and over again! This decadent dessert is made with simple ingredients and topped with coconut. A cool and creamy pineapple dream dessert that is excellent all year round! This delicious dessert has three amazing layers. The crust, filling, and topping. All are made with just a couple of simple ingredients! Keep this dessert in the fridge for at least two hours to set before serving.
Ingredients
Filling:
1 c. powdered sugar
8 oz. softened cream cheese
8 oz. whipping topping
1 c. crushed pineapple
Crust:
½ c. melted butter
20 Graham crackers, crushed
½ c. granulated sugar
Topping:
¼ c. diced pineapples, drained
¼ c. shredded coconut
HOW TO MAKE NO-BAKE PINEAPPLE DREAM DESSERT
Filling:
Step 1: In a medium-sized bowl, place the cream cheese. Beat using an electric mixer until fluffy. Then, slowly add in the powdered sugar, mixing well until well blended.
Step 2: Into the cream cheese mixture, add the whipping topping and mix until fluffy. Then, fold in the crushed pineapples. Set aside.
Crust:
Step 3: In a small bowl, place the crushed Graham crackers, granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix well until incorporated.
Step 4: Into a 9 x 9-inch baking dish, pour the mixture. On top, spoon the filling and smooth it out using a spatula until evenly distributed.
Step 5: On top, sprinkle the shredded coconut and arrange the diced pineapples. Keep in the fridge for about 2 hours until firm.
Step 6: When ready, slice and serve. Enjoy!
Tips:
For this recipe, make sure to use butter. Margarine is not recommended. You can use either unsalted or salted butter.
If desired, you can use homemade whipped cream instead of Cool Whip.
