This dish is so easy to make! All you need is one pot to do all the work for you. I less than an hour, you will surely enjoy the perfect meal for today! Ingredients:
12 oz. sausage link (I use smoked sausage)
4 large garlic cloves – minced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 chopped small yellow onion
8 oz. can of tomato sauce
1 chopped bell pepper (I use a mix of red and green bell peppers)
5 c chicken broth
3 c white rice
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
Directions:
1. Place a large non-stick skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
2. Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.
3. Add sausage, then cook until crumbly and brown.
4. Add the onions and peppers, then sauté until soft.
5. Add the garlic and sauté until aromatic.
6. Add the rice, seasonings, chicken broth, and tomato sauce. Stir until well mixed.
7. Cover the skillet and allow the mixture to boil, then turn the heat down to low.
8. Simmer everything for about 25 minutes or until done.
9. Serve hot and enjoy!
