Ingredients:
1 tbsp canola oil
2 tbsp butter
16 oz. Ribeye Steak thinly sliced
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 medium yellow onion sliced
1 medium green bell pepper sliced
1/4 c mayonnaise
1 loaf French bread cut in half lengthwise
10-12 slices Provolone cheese
4 oz. mushrooms sliced
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
2. Rub the ribeye steak with salt and pepper. Make sure to coat them well.
3. Place a large cast-iron skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
4. Add oil and allow it to become hot.
5. Add the ribeye steak and sear for 2 minutes per side until nicely brown.
6. Add Worcestershire sauce, then stir until the meat is well coated. Remove the steak from the skillet onto a clean plate.
7. In the same skillet, add butter and allow it to melt.
8. Add the mushrooms, onion, and bell peppers. Saute until soft. Season with salt and pepper.
9. Brush with mayonnaise the halves of bread.
10. Top each prepared bread with Provolone cheese slices.
11. Top the cheese with the veggies and steak.
12. Top everything with the rest of the cheese.
13. Place them inside the preheated oven and bake for about 10 minutes or until the cheese turns golden brown.
14. Remove from the oven, then slice them into thick pieces.
15. Serve hot and enjoy!
