1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 medium yellow onion, sliced
1/2 large green bell pepper sliced
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
2 ounces fresh mushrooms, minced
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons bacon grease
1/3 cup mayonnaise
3/4 cup Cheez Whiz
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
6 slices provolone cheese
Garlic Butter:
1 tablespoon Italian parsley, minced
1/4 teaspoon roasted garlic powder
3 tablespoons salted butter, melted
How to make Philly Cheesesteak Sliders
Step 1: Mince the garlic and mushrooms. Thinly slice the bell peppers and onions. Into small strips, slice the steak. To keep the fat intact, try to slice the steak against the grain.
Step 2: heat the olive oil or bacon grease in a skillet. To the hot oil, add the veggies and saute until tender. Set aside when done.
Step 3: In the same skillet, place the steak and season with pepper, salt, and smoked paprika. Add the Worcestershire sauce and cook until done.
Step 4: Return the veggies to the skillet and allow everything to simmer until completely cooked.
Step 5: In the meantime, slice the rolls. Into a greased baking dish, place the rolls. Top with mayo and sprinkle with cheese. Over the mayo and cheese, add the veggies and meat.
Step 6: Combine the roasted garlic with the melted butter and minced parsley. Using this mixture, brush the tops of the rolls and sprinkle with extra parsley.
Step 7: Cover the dish with foil and place it in the oven. Bake for about 15 minutes at 350 degrees until the cheese has melted. Uncover and continue baking for additional 10 minutes.
Step 8: Remove from the oven when done and serve the sliders warm with a side of salad or fries. You can add extra toppings such as ketchup if desired. Enjoy!
