I have a long list of dessert recipes, and this pineapple dessert is one of my favorites! This treat is a wonderful dessert, especially if you love pineapples. These pineapple bars are moist and soft. They are almost like a cake, but in bite-sized squares. I love bringing these pineapple bars to picnics or BBQs. This dessert is also my family’s favorite Sunday treat! This is the perfect dessert for warmer days or to enjoy on cold winter days.
Ingredients
2 eggs
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. crushed pineapple, well-drained
1 c. flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
powdered sugar for garnish
1/4 teaspoon salt
How to make Pineapple Bars
Step 1: Place the butter, sugar, and eggs in a large bowl. Mix well until combined.
Step 2: Stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt. Then, fold in the pineapple.
Step 3: Into a greased 9 x 9-inch square pan, spread the mixture.
Step 4: Place in the oven and bake for about 28 to 33 minutes at 350 degrees.
Step 5: Remove from the oven when done and allow the bars to cool for about 10 minutes in the pan.
Step 6: Once cooled, sprinkle the pineapple bars with powdered sugar. Then, slice into bars. Enjoy!
Notes:
Make sure to drain the pineapples well before using them. You can pour them into a mesh strainer to drain as much liquid as possible.
Before cutting in the bars, allow the pineapple bar to cool completely.
Use a plastic knife to cut the pineapple bars.
