This pumpkin pie magic cake is the best fall dessert! This dessert, even though this is made with a canned pumpkin pie mix tastes homemade. Not overly sweet, just perfect! No wonder why my kids are always raving about this.
Thanksgiving will never be complete without this pumpkin pie magic cake. The best part is you can make this the night before! This is a simple pie cake that’s better than a pumpkin pie! I love to chill this in the fridge before serving and top each slice with a candy corn pumpkin for a fun presentation. I promise, your kids will go crazy over this dessert!
Ingredients
4 large eggs
1 box spice cake mix
1 (30-ounce) can of pumpkin pie mix
1 container of white or vanilla frosting
1 c. salted butter (2 sticks) melted
HOW TO MAKE PUMPKIN PIE MAGIC CAKE
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: Using nonstick cooking spray, lightly grease the bottom only of a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Step 3: Place the pumpkin pie mix and eggs in a stand mixer and pulse until blended. You can also mix them in a large mixing bowl. Add the cake mix along with the melted butter. Then, combine for a full 2 minutes.
Step 4: Into the prepared baking dish, pour the batter. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 to 55 minutes or until the middle of the cake is no longer jiggly.
Step 5: Remove from the oven when done and let the cake cool fully before frosting.
Step 6: Before serving, slice the cake into 12 squares. Enjoy!
