It’s not every day that you get to eat a delicious cake. Today, I will share with you a recipe I just learned. At first, I was kind of hesitant to try it but I was so wrong! It turned out to be so good that here I am writing this to share it with you! Oh, man, you have got to give this recipe a try, I’m telling you. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 (15 oz) can canned pumpkin puree
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 (18.25 oz) package yellow cake mix with pudding
¼ c vegetable oil
2 Eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
½ c butter softened
4 (3 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
2 c confectioners’ sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
2. Apply cooking spray in a 9×13-inch baking pan.
3. In a mixing bowl, add cinnamon, pumpkin, nutmeg, and cloves. Whisk until just mixed.
4. In another mixing bowl, add oil and cake mix. Beat until well mixed.
5. Add the eggs gradually and beat every addition until well mixed.
6. Add the pumpkin mixture and beat until well mixed.
7. Add the vanilla and stir until well blended.
8. Transfer the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
9. Place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean after inserting it in the middle.
10. Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool at room temperature.
11. In a mixing bowl, add cream cheese and butter and beat until well mixed.
12. Add the confectioners’ sugar and beat until well mixed.
13. Add vanilla and cinnamon, then stir until well mixed.
14. Spread the frosting on top of the cake.
15. Serve and enjoy!
