This Reese’s chocolate peanut butter earthquake cake will knock you off your feet! It is crazy delicious and packed with creamy peanut butter and Reese’s peanut butter cups! I love Reese’s, and this cake is the perfect dessert for me! Plus, this is insanely easy to put together using just a couple of simple ingredients. On top of all the goodness, there are dollops of sweet cream cheese swirled throughout. Top the cake with cold vanilla ice cream before serving it to make a delicious, heavenly dessert!
INGREDIENTS
1/2 c. softened butter
1 Box Chocolate Cake Mix oil, eggs, water
1/2 c. chocolate chips
3/4 c. Creamy peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
12 ounces Softened cream cheese
4 c. powdered sugar
unwrapped and cut into halves
1 1/2 c. miniature Reese’s peanut butter cups
How to make Reese’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Earthquake Cake
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees. Using nonstick cooking spray, grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Step 2: Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and mix well until blended.
Step 3: Into the prepared baking dish, pour the cake batter and set aside.
Step 4: Combine the cream cheese, butter, peanut butter, and vanilla in another bowl until well mixed.
Step 5: Stir in the powdered sugar, 1 c at a time until you have added all 4 cups.
Step 6: In spoonfuls, add the peanut butter to the chocolate mix and lightly spread it around.
Step 7: On top, sprinkle Reese’s peanut butter cup and chocolate chips. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 45 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
Step 8: Remove from the oven when done, and serve the cake warm with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
