HOW TO MAKE SALISBURY STEAK MEATBALLS
Step 1: Combine the ground beef in a bowl along with the rest of the meat ingredients. Then, shape the mixture into balls (slightly bigger than a golf ball).
Step 2: In a skillet, heat a few tbsp of oil. Add the meatballs and cook over medium heat until all sides are browned, rotating often. Set the meatballs aside once evenly browned.
Step 3: Don’t wash the pan, just remove any excess grease.
Step 4: In the same pan, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add the sliced onions and saute for about 5 to 10 minutes on medium-high heat until tender and golden brown. Next, add the mushrooms and cook for a few minutes more.
Step 5: Adjust the heat to medium and pour in the beef stock. Add the Worcestershire sauce and ketchup. Stir well and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes. Then, stir in the Kitchen Bouquet and cornstarch mixture. At this point, the gravy should be thick. To taste, season with salt and pepper.
Step 6: Add the meatballs back into the pan. Adjust the heat to low and put the lid on. Cook for another 20 to 30 minutes until the meatballs are tender.
Step 7: Remove from the heat when done and serve the Salisbury steak meatballs with mashed potatoes. Enjoy!
