This recipe has always been a part of my family since I was a little kid. I remember my Grandma used to make this all the time! I am so grateful to her for teaching me this recipe because now, I get to share it with you guys! Ingredients:
1 pound skirt steak, thinly sliced into 1/4″ strips
kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon plus 1 tbsp. canola oil, divided
1 pound green beans, trimmed
3 cloves garlic, minced
3″ piece of ginger, peeled and grated
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
3 tablespoons sugar
2 green onions, chopped
1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Directions:
Step 1: Use paper towels to pat dry the beef.
Step 2: Season with salt and pepper, then coat it with cornstarch.
Step 3: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.
Step 4: Add 1 tablespoon of oil and allow it to become hot.
Step 5: Add the green beans and cook for about a minute.
Step 6: Add a bit of water, then cover it with a lid.
Step 7: Add the beef and cook for 3 minutes or until done.
Step 8: Turn the heat down to medium, then add the garlic soy sauce, ginger, sugar, and vinegar. Stir until well mixed.
Step 9: Cook for a few more minutes.
Step 10: Serve and enjoy!
