by Sheryl November 13, 2020

Prep Time: 25 minutes | Cook Time: 45 minutes

Have all the greatness in one bowl of delicious stew! This dish has always been a part of our family since I was a little kid. This was passed on to me by my Grandma. Now, I get to cook it for my kids which they absolutely love by the way! I also get to share it with you! Give this one a try and I am 100 per cent sure that you and your loved ones will love this! Feel free to add more ingredients if you feel like it. Make sure to add 2 pounds of beef if you want a meat-packed stew! Oh, man, you are so in for a treat. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

2 pounds ground beef
5-7 potatoes, peeled (if desired) and sliced thin or cubed
1 large onion, sliced thinly or finely chopped
5-7 stalks of celery, chopped
2 cans dark red kidney beans, liquid included
2 cans whole kernel corn, liquid included
2 cans diced tomatoes, juice included
Salt & pepper to taste

Directions:

Step 1: Place a large pot on the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.

Step 2: Add in the ground beef and cook until brown and crumbly.

Step 3: Discard the excess grease.

Step 4: Arrange the ingredients in layers. Add in the potatoes, onions, celery, kidney beans, corn, and tomatoes. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 5: Put the pot back to the stove and turn the heat to medium-high.

Step 6: Once it boils, reduces the heat to medium-low and simmers for 45 minutes or until the veggies are soft and tender.

Step 7: Serve and enjoy!
