These heavenly treats never fail to amaze me every time! This recipe is very easy to make. Just follow these easy steps, and you are good to go! Surprise everyone with these Cream Puffs. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1/2 c unsalted butter – cut into pieces
1 c all-purpose flour
4 large Eggs – room temperature (this is particularly important)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 c water
1 teaspoon sugar
Directions:
1. Prepare the oven and preheat to 200 degrees C or 400 degrees F.
2. Line with parchment paper onto 2 baking sheets.
3. Add sugar, salt, and flour into a mixing bowl. Whisk until well incorporated.
4. Place a saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
5. Add butter and allow it to melt. Add water and stir until well blended, then let the mixture boil.
6. Remove the pan from the stove, then transfer the flour mixture to it and stir until well incorporated.
7. Put the saucepan bake on the stove and turn the heat to medium. Stir for about 2 minutes or until it turns into a ball of dough.
8. Remove the dough from the heat and allow it to cool for 5 minutes.
9. Gradually add the eggs and beat every addition until well blended.
10. Spoon the dough and drop each into the prepared pans. Make sure to leave a small space between each dough.
11. Place the pan inside the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes or until done.
12. Turn off the oven and allow the puffs to sit inside for a few minutes.
13. Serve and enjoy!
Notes:
Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then leave them at room temperature for 24 hours or 1 month in the freezer.
To Make the Chantilly Cream:
1. Add 1/2 tsp vanilla extract, 1 cup heavy whipping cream, and 2 tbsp of superfine sugar into a mixing bowl. Beat for a few minutes until well blended.
