Slow-cooked for 12 hours to perfection, this dish is perfect for any occasion! If you have time to spare before dinner, then this recipe is one to try! It may take you several hours to cook, but I promise you that it is worth the wait! It is total comfort food that will warm your hungry stomach. Make sure to invite some of your peers because this recipe can serve up to 10 people. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 can (10.5-10.75 ounces) cream of celery or mushroom soup, undiluted
3-4 cloves garlic, minced
2-3 lbs. of beef roast
1 envelope (from a 2.2-ounces box) of beefy onion soup mix
1 package (24 ounces) of frozen home-style egg noodles
1 can (14 ounces) of reduced-sodium beef broth
Salt and pepper, to taste
6-8 c beef broth or water, more if desired
Directions:
Add cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, garlic cloves, and beefy onion soup mix into a large mixing bowl. Stir everything until well incorporated.
In a 5-quart slow cooker, add the roast together with the soup mixture.
Cover and seal the slow cooker, then cook the roast for about 8 hours on a low setting. When it is easily pierced by a fork, it is ready for serving!
Use two forks to shred the meat into small pieces.
Pour about 6 to 8 cups of beef broth into the slow cooker. Stir until well combined.
Cover and seal the slow cooker again, then cook the meat for another 8 hours on a low setting.
Add salt, pepper, and egg noodles. Stir until well combined. Cook the noodles for one hour in a high setting.
