These spicy chicken cheeseballs are my family’s new favorite! These are seriously easy to make using just simple pantry ingredients. Throw together a big batch and have them ready in a cinch!
These spicy chicken cheeseballs are great to pair with starch or vegetables. I love them with mashed potatoes, mac, and cheese, peas, corn, or green beans. These are excellent to serve either at room temperature or hot.
These spicy chicken cheeseballs are always a huge hit at parties. I’ve also made them many times for dinner. Bonus, these cheeseballs are freezer-friendly! After forming the balls, arrange them on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 2 hours. Once frozen, transfer the cheeseballs to a freezer-safe zip-top bag and freeze. When ready to serve, transfer the balls to a lined baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes more than what is instructed in the recipe. Alternatively, you can bake these cheeseballs in advance and freeze them. Reheat for 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees before serving.
INGREDIENTS
1 lb. ground chicken
3 c. all purpose baking mix – Bisquick or Arrowhead Mills
4 c. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
½ c. milk
2 tbsp Tapatio Salsa Picante hot sauce
½ tsp oregano
dash or salt and pepper
¼ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
HOW TO MAKE SPICY CHICKEN CHEESEBALLS
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees. Using parchment paper, line a baking sheet. Set aside.
Step 2: In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients. You can do this using your hands or a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment.
Step 3: Shape the mixture into small (about 1 inch in diameter) balls.
Step 4: On the prepared baking sheet, arrange the balls. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown and the internal temperature of the chicken cheeseballs reach 165 degrees.
NOTE:
You can use two sheet pans if desired. I was able to use 1 large sheet pan, but the cheeseballs were touching.
