How to make Tender Homemade Sour Cream Biscuits
Step 1: Add the flour, baking powder, salt, and baking soda in a medium-sized bowl. Mix until incorporated.
Step 2: Add spoonfuls of sour cream on top and oil. Mix using a spoon until just moistened. Then, with your hands to mix everything.
Step 3: On a floured surface, knead the dough at least 8 times.
Step 4: Roll the dough into an 8-inch circle with a floured rolling pin. Use a biscuit cutter or a floured glass to cut the dough into 6 pieces. Bunch the rest of the dough, knead, and slice 2 more biscuits.
Step 5: Transfer the pieces onto a cookie sheet or on a foil sprayed with butter-flavoured Pam.
Step 6: Add small pats of butter on each biscuit and spread a bit making sure to not deflate the biscuits.
Step 7: Place in the oven and bake for about 12 to 15 minutes at 425 degrees or until golden brown.
Step 8: Take the biscuits out of the oven and add pats of butter again on top.
Step 9: Serve the biscuits warm with extra butter or homemade jam or honey. Enjoy!
