Ingredients:
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 ½ tablespoon olive oil
4 boneless pork chops
Seasoning Blend:
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
¼ teaspoon black pepper
¼ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon sage
1 teaspoon chili powder (or less if prefer lower heat)
½ teaspoon marjoram
1 teaspoon onion powder
Pan Gravy:
½ tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons honey
1 c chicken or vegetable broth
Directions:
Sprinkle 1/2 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper over the pork chops, then rub each until coated. Let them rest for half an hour. Use paper towels to pat them dry.
Add marjoram, sage, flour, paprika, salt, garlic powder, chili powder, and pepper into a mixing bowl. Whisk everything until well incorporated.
Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium. Add olive oil and allow it to become hot.
Add the pork chops into the hot skillet, then sear each side for a few minutes until they turn golden brown. Make sure to leave a small space between each pork chop.
Turn the heat down to low, then cover the skillet and cook the pork chops for additional 10 minutes. Transfer them onto a clean plate.
In the same skillet, add vinegar and chicken broth. Scrape the bottom to get the browned bits. Stir everything until well blended.
Add the honey and stir until well blended. Simmer the mixture for a few minutes. Stir in the butter and let it melt.
Remove the skillet from the heat, then put the pork chops back in it. Toss until well coated by the sauce.
Let the pork chops sit for about 3 minutes at room temperature.
Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
