Ingredients:
1 package (18 1/4 oz) white cake
1 1/4 cups water
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 Eggs
1 pkg (16 oz) frozen sweetened sliced strawberries, thawed
2 pkg (3 oz each) strawberry gelatin
1 (12 oz tub) frozen whipped topping, thawed, divided. (i used 1 1/2 containers)

Directions:
Step 1: Add the cake mix, eggs, water, and oil into a large mixing bowl. Beat until well combined.
Step 2: Apply cooking spray in two 9-inch baking pans.
Step 3: Transfer the batter into the prepared pans and spread it evenly.
Step 4: Prepare the oven and preheat to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.
Step 5: Place the pans inside the preheated oven and bake for about 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean after inserting it in the middle.
Step 6: Remove the cake from the oven and let it sit at room temperature to cool for about 10 minutes.
Step 7: Use a fork to poke holes over the cake.
Step 8: Drain the strawberries and place the juice into a cup. Place the berries inside the fridge.
Step 9: In the cup with the berry juice, add water. Stir until just mixed.
Step 10: Place a saucepan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
Step 11: Add the juice mixture into the pan. Stir and allow it to boil.
Step 12: Remove the pan from the heat and let it sit at room temperature to cool for at least 30 minutes.
Step 13: Spread the mixture on top of the cake layers.
Step 14: Place it inside the fridge to chill for at least 3 hours.
Step 15: Dip in warm water for about 10 seconds at the bottom of one pan.
Step 16: On a serving plate, invert the cake.
Step 17: Spread the strawberries and a cup of whipped topping over.
Step 18: Put the 2nd layer on top of the topping.
Step 19: Frost the second cake with the rest of the whipped topping.
Step 20: Place the cake inside the fridge to chill for about an hour.
Step 21: Serve and enjoy!
