A friend introduced me to these Maid-Rite Sliders. I am glad she did because I didn’t know what I am missing until I tasted these amazing sliders!
These Maid-Rite Sliders are not your typical hamburger and these are not Sloppy Joes! These sliders are kind of a cross between the two. The well-seasoned, browned ground beef is served loose on warm buns with pickles and melty cheese. Before baking, the buns are coated with simple melted butter, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce mixture.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 small white onion, minced
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 c. water
1 beef bouillon cube
2 tbsp brown sugar
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
12-pack slider buns
6 slices American cheese
1/3 c. dill pickle slices
BUTTER SAUCE:
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 c. butter, melted
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
How to make Maid-Rite Sliders
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and onion over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink. When done, drain the excess grease if needed. Then, pour in the water and add the brown sugars, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and bouillon cube. Bring everything to a boil. Once boiling, decrease the heat and let the mixture simmer until the liquid has evaporated.
Step 3: Into a baking dish, place the bottoms of the buns. Cover each with the beef mixture and top with pickles, a slice of cheese, and finally the top buns.
Step 4: In a small bowl, whisk the melted butter, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Then, brush this over the buns.
Step 5: Tent the dish with foil, place it in the preheated oven and bake for about 25 minutes.
Step 6: Remove from the oven when done and serve the Maid-Rite Sliders immediately. Enjoy!
